Happy to report I got the second 4 oz of the Into the
Whirled 221B Polwarth/Silk spun. Hooray for that!
I love weekends when my family doesn't have plans as I can
work on spinning during the TdF.
I decided to watch the two episodes Harlan Ellison worked on
the story for B5.
First up was A View from the Gallery (Season 5 Episode 4). This is a terrific episode that follows two
workers through the story & how their actions help the ship. Really wonderful storyline.
Then came Objects in Motion (Season 5 Episode 20). It is towards the end of the series. Garibaldi & G'Kar are both leaving
B5. Lots of tears. I hate goodbyes. And it was nearing the end of the show. Saying goodbye to characters I loved. And Garibaldi & G'Kar were both terrific
characters.
And sad that both actors are no longer with us. So many wonderful actors from the show are
gone. And too many too soon... Jerry Doyle at 60, Andreas Katsulas at
59... Others too young. Richard Biggs at just 44... Jeff Conaway
60. Stephen Furst 63. Ugh...
Then I headed back to the Marcus episodes. I had already watched the first two
yesterday. So on to Exogenesis (Season 3
Episode 7.) This one is about creatures
burrowing into humans. Squiky... But has some amazing bits between Marcus
& Franklin, starting their path to friendship. And his interactions with an older man named
Duncan are terrific.
It ends with what may be one of my fav scenes with Marcus
& Ivanova... Really thought I could
find a video on YouTube of that bit!
Ivanova thrust the roses at Marcus (after mistakenly thinking he left
them.)
Ivanova: Keep them!
Marcus Cole: Thank you. I will. Well, guess there's hope for
us after all.
*grin* Yep...there is
indeed.
Messages from Earth (Season 3 Episode 8) was next. This is a heavy episode with a lot about the
Shadows. But I love the scene with
Marcus & Ivanova. Marcus has created
a chart since Susan asked where he fits in the structure of B5. He says he can compare it to the Ottoman
Empire. *laugh* Wonderful scene...
There is also a wonderful bit with Delenn helping Sheridan
to sleep on the White Star.
The final episode for today was A Late Delivery from Avalon (Season
3 Episode 13). I love this episode. Michael York as Arthur. And who can't help but be entertained by Garibaldi
& his Postal woes. *grin* It is a touching episode with all that
happens.
Next up for Marcus is War Without End which is a two
parter! It was about 4:45. And I didn't have a lot of fiber left.
So I decided not to break into the two-parter. I may end up
splitting it up anyhow. I am working
from home tomorrow. So I might be able
to watch some of it. But I am not sure
how much. We shall see.
Finished bobbin:
